Prior to application, the surface must be cleansed of all loose debris and grease. The surface may be moistened with potable water under hot weather circumstances. It is possible to apply cementation to a variety of surfaces, including block work, concrete, and rough plastered surfaces. Before tiling can be installed, the surface needs to be appropriately aged (at least 7 days for newly erected masonry surfaces and freshly plastered surfaces). Additionally, it is advised against tiling over expansion joints and instead to treat them properly. Prechem Recipe 210 Gray should be used to wet highly absorbent surfaces. Before installing the tiles, any damaged or unstable surfaces need to be fixed.

Water must be premeasured in accordance with the quantity of the item being utilized. To prevent the material from settling at the bottom of the mixing container, the mortar powder should be added over the water. The mixing container needs to be clean, non-corrosive, and uncontaminated. Use only potable water when blending. In order to produce a consistent, lump-free mix, it is also advised that the material be mechanically combined using a mortar and pestle or other mechanical mixing techniques.
